Telegram is said to have official support for group video calls this month. CEO Pavel Durov recently announced on his official Telegram Channel. It will be featuring Screen sharing, encryption, noise-canceling, desktop and tablet support, etc.

The company added just one-on-one video call support to the service back in 2020. Now the video calling feature is going to arrive soon. The launch date is yet to be confirmed.

According to Telegram CEO Pavel Durov,

“Speaking of video calls, we will be adding a video dimension to our voice chats in May, making Telegram a powerful platform for group video calls”.

Furthermore, the messaging app received a massive response from users across the globe in 2021. This is because of WhatsApp’s new privacy policy update which debuted earlier. Most WhatsApp users moved towards Telegram and Signal, in contrast, to have a secure conversation just like before.

According to the officials, the messaging app (Telegram) has reached almost 400 million active users daily in 2020.

Moreover, still, most of the users prefer to use WhatsApp instead of using its alternative. The Facebook-owned company has launched a one-on-one and group video calling feature a long time ago. This is why it got priority on its alternative.

Additionally, the company is constantly pushing new updates to the service. They are working on several new updates like Chat migration, a Review tool for Voice messages, and 24 hours option for disappearing messages.
