WhatsApp is working on further improvements regarding disappearing messages. This feature was introduced earlier, but the disappearing time was only after 7 days. Now it’s been reported by WABetainfo, that the Facebook-owned company might introduce a 24 hours option as well.

The so-called disappearing messages feature may get some improvement regarding the time span. So the users will get in touch with their loved ones more privately. With this new update, the texts, videos, or images will be deleted automatically after 24 hours. The 7 days will be optional, so users will be able to set the time period according to their needs.

The 24 hours option in disappearing messages is still under development and will be soon released for iOS, Android, and WhatsApp Web.

Furthermore, users will be able to enable or disable the disappearing option. Users can set it to either 7 days or 24 hours. So all the texts and media sent in personal chats or group chats will be disappeared once the time completed.

WhatsApp is constantly pushing updates for its users. Recently, WABetainfo also revealed the chat migration between iOS and Android. As well as several new updates were introduced for WhatsApp Web.
