Manchester United have made two areas of the pitch their major priority as they attempt to strengthen their ailing squad both in the present winter transfer market and the summer’s transfer window.

The Red Devils have prioritized two positions namely creative midfield and central striker in the transfer window.

For the central striker spot, Manchester United sanctioned the sale of Romelu Lukaku last summer and they were negligent after their failure to sign a replacement for him.

Lukaku signed for Inter Milan in a £74m deal and in his absence, Anthony Martial has been the central striker this season though he has had to deal with an injury.

French international Martial missed one month of football between September and October earlier this season.

The Red Devils have been linked with several strikers as they try to sign a replacement for the aforementioned Lukaku who played for the Belgian national team.

Some of the strikers linked with Manchester United include petite RB Leipzig player Timo Werner, Lyon star Moussa Dembele and Wolverhampton Wanderers hitman Raul Jimenez.

Moussa Dembele is rated at around £45m and the Frenchman would be the one to lead the line if Manchester United manage to sign him.

Man United XI with Dembele: David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba; Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Marcus Rashford; Moussa Dembele.
