Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has expressed his happiness towards the big achievement recorded on the part of his team.

Wolves beat Manchester United 2-1 at home in their FA Cup quarterfinal clash to secure a place in the last four of the competition for the first time in over 20 years.

Raul Jimenez was a big part of the defeat handed out to 12-time champions Manchester United.

Both sides played out a goalless first half which saw the hosts create many chances in addition to the fact that they were thwarted by the Manchester United goalkeeper on several occasions.

Sergio Romero was at his best to repel the attacking threats of the home side in the first half but the Argentine international shot stopper was unable to prevent the aforementioned Jimenez from giving his side the lead in the 70th minute.

Mexican international star Jimenez produced a fantastic turn and finish to give Wolves the lead that their second half performance deserved.

Wolves added a second goal through Diogo Jota six minutes later to put themselves in a fantastic position.

Marcus Rashford pulled one back for Manchester United in added time but it was too late as Wolves held on for a 2-1 victory that was enough to take them into the semifinals of the competition.
