Merseyside outfit Liverpool will later in the day drag it out with German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League after playing a goalless draw in the first leg at Anfield.

The Reds team are the only Premier League side waiting to confirm their qualification to the next round of the tournament after Tottenham, Man United and Man City to make it an English dominated quarter-final.

However, Man City boss has unwittingly given the chance to Bayern Munich to win over the manager Jurgen Klopp side later on Wednesday when he said hopefully the Bundesliga outfit can scale through.

Suggestions are that he still has the title rivalry in his mind while his attachment to his former club still exists.

However, pundits are of the opinion that Pep Guardiola’s action for the Reds might come back to hurt his side in the Premier League owing to the fact that the Jurgen Klopp team will now have their attention on the domestic league.

Should Liverpool lose out of the Champions League, they will be left with no choice than to focus all energy and attention to their only hope and that could mean overthrowing Man City from the top of the log.
