English Premier League champions Liverpool are considering making a swoop for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos in January transfer window, according to a report in Marca, via Sport Witness.
Diego Carlos has been on the radar of Man United and Man City for the past years but none of them have been able to step forward with a bid which gives the Reds team an edge if they step forward with one.
Manchester City were leading in the interest for Diego Carlos last summer window ahead of the Red Devils with Sevilla reportedly waiting for their offer but it never came.

No doubt the Spanish La Liga outfit will not hesitate to give their nod to Liverpool if they step forward with a befitting offer as they are desperate to cash in from the sale of Diego Carlos.
Liverpool can boast of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip as their defensive options with Dejan Loveren’s departure which makes it important for them to bring in another option in January.
The fee for Diego Carlos is not expected to be an issue as Liverpool are reportedly willing to meet his asking price which is believed to be within the region of £15 million.
