Man United are reported to have successfully convinced Dean Henderson to remain at the Old Trafford and fight for a place in the team ahead of the coming season.
Dean Henderson spent last season on loan with Sheffield United and has returned but reportedly demanded to have the assurance of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper next season or he would leave the club.
Apparently, the Red Devils will not give him such words but they have been able to convince him for a new deal which is major gain to the team because of the options they will have and the competition it will bring to that department.

While Dean Henderson has already bid farewell to Sheffield United, West London club, Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation as they seek to lure him to the Stamford Bridge to take over the first-team role ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga following his unsatisfactory performance.
Should Man United succeed in keeping Dean Henderson, they might lose Sergio Romero who is not interested in being relegated to the third choice behind David De Gea and Dean Henderson respectively.
It is now left to the Red Devils to convince him of a stay or watch him leave the club to find playing time elsewhere.
