Arsenal and Everton have been handed a major boost to secure the signature of their target Memphis Depay who is not having it good with French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
Memphis Depay has been tipped with a return to Man United in the past but that has been dismissed with the Red Devils not willing to have him back after a disappointing spell some years back.
Memphis Depay, therefore, runs out of contract next summer with Lyon, and the possibility of agreeing to new terms with the Ligue 1 club cannot be found which makes a move inevitable so as not to lose him for free.
The Dutch winger was valued at £25 million some months back but with the current situation, he is now available for £20 million less which remains a cheap deal for both Arsenal and Everton.

However, the Toffees are tipped to win the race for Memphis Depay because of the lack of space in the Arsenal team.
The Gunners have got Willian, Pepe, and Bukayo Saka on the flank and might not be able to compete.
Everton are struggling to get the best of Alex Iwobi, Bernard, and Andre Gomes. That gives hope to the former Man United player to secure regular playing time.
Dutch national team coach Bruno Genesio has hailed Memphis Depay as a world-class player. “He allows us to unblock certain situations. He’s improved since he came to Lyon, notably in his consistency. He’s decisive and it’s what we ask of a player like him.” he told Goal
He has scored 20 goals in 32 games since the start of last season and will be a great addition to any of his suitors, including Arsenal who are struggling to score a goal, but it is a major doubt that Memphis Depay is the kind of player wanted by manager Mikel Arteta.
