Man United Want Federico Valverde Who Has £640m Release Clause

Manchester United are keen on spending more money to sign midfielders despite the recent additions of Bruno Fernandes and Donny Van De Beek.

This is according to the report via The Sun which claimed that the Red Devils want to sign Real Madrid player Federico Valverde.

Manchester United signed Portuguese Bruno Fernandes in the January transfer window after agreeing on an initial fee of £47m with Sporting Lisbon.

The Red Devils further added Dutchman Van De Beek from Ajax Amsterdam in a £38m deal and that spending on midfield won’t stop there according to the previously mentioned report.

Manchester United are interested in Uruguayan international Federico Valverde who has a €700m (£640m) release clause in his Real Madrid contract.

It was also reported that Manchester United could include Paul Pogba in a possible deal for him.

Pogba has been very vocal about his preference for Real Madrid if he were to leave the Red Devils.

The Frenchman recently granted an interview while on an international break as he described Real Madrid as his dream club.

The club just activated the one-year option they had in his contract to take it to the 2021/22 season.

Paul Pogba had some months left before the club activated the option.
