It was expected that French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi will mention issues of a rift with manager Mikel Arteta when asked why he left the club but his answer was far from it.
Matteo Guendouzi left the Emirates Stadium on loan to join German Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin on a season as he could no longer find playing time in the tram.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been out of the team since he was involved in a scuffle with Brighton’s Neal Maupay following Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to the Seagulls last season.

It was assumed that Matteo Guendouzi would raise issues of discontent with manager Mikel Arteta, especially for refusing to play him but that didn’t come out of his mouth, rather he claims he wants to find playing time, which is the reason why he decided to leave.
However, playing with Hertha Berlin is a good challenge for the 21-year-old and a top priority as he claims he will be able to express himself in a great league.
Matteo Guendouzi is, therefore, opened to returning to Arsenal and that seems to be a wish for him after the season-long loan but teh decsion will be left to the club to make if he will be needed on not.
