Manchester United have had their approach for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa knocked back by his Italian Serie A club.
The Red Devils wanted to take Federico Chiesa on a loan deal for the current season with the option to buy him afterwards, according to The Telegraph.
The enquiry was rebuffed with Fiorentina in favour a permanent deal and that’s what Italian champions Juventus are trying to do.
The Turin giants are said to be considering a £45m transfer for the Fiorentina player.

Federico Chiesa scored nine goals in addition to 11 assists in all competitions for his Italian Serie A outfit last season.
Manchester United have suffered a lot of setbacks in this current transfer window as they look to bolster their squad with a right winger.
The Red Devils have pursued Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund for the better part of the transfer window but the German Bundesliga club wants €120m for the player.
Borussia Dortmund are very confident that the player will stay at the club despite the strong interest from the Red Devils.
Manchester United have considered other wing alternatives like Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic, Watford player Ismaila Sarr, Juventus wing forward specialist Douglas Costa and the previously mentioned Federico Chiesa.
