Lyon chief Juninho Pernambucano has revealed that he spoke to Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette about the possibility of returning to the French Ligue 1 club during the January transfer window.
The Lyon sporting director made this known during his latest interview as monitored by the Daily Mirror.
According to the former Liverpool midfielder, he had a transfer discussion with Lacazette on the phone when the French international was having a difficult time at Arsenal.

Juninho said they discussed the possibility of the player signing for Lyon on loan in January and playing regularly at the club for six months before returning to Arsenal or signing for another team.
Alexandre Lacazette signed for Arsenal for a then club-record fee of £42.5m in the summer of 2017 and he was the main man in the Gunners attack for six months until the club signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £56m in January 2018 for a club record.
Aubamayeng became the go-to man in the Arsenal team as Lacazette began to play second fiddle.
Lacazette endured his worst season at Arsenal in the last campaign netting just 12 times in all competitions throughout the season. His output was affected by an injury setback at the start of the season.
