Arsenal are about to lose the services of one of their central defenders if reports coming out in the Italian media are to be taken seriously.
Greek international centre back Sokratis Papasthathopoulos is on the brink of leaving the club according to the specific publication from II Mattino with Napoli on his trail.
Sokratis Papasthathopoulos has spent two years out of the three-year deal that he signed when he became an Arsenal player in the summer of 2018. The experienced centre back joined from Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.

He has one year left on his Arsenal deal and the Gunners are ready to cash in on his transfer rather than let him leave on a free transfer next summer. The player is on the outskirts of the Gunners team at the moment with the North Londoners spoilt for choice in the centre back department.
Arsenal recently signed Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille in a £27m deal and the 22-year-old is expected to be one of the first choice centre backs under Mikel Arteta this season.
Other centre backs on the Arsenal payroll right now include David Luiz, William Saliba, Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, Shkrodan Mustafi and Kostantinos Mavropanos.
Napoli are the favourites to sign Sokratis and a €4m will be enough.
