The Metro reports that Arsenal hope to seal a deal for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes before the end of this week as he will jet into London to undergo a medical with the club on Thursday.
Reports have flooded the media that the Brazilian international has chosen the North London outfit ahead of Italian Serie A club, Napoli who are also very keen on the signature.
However, Gabriel Magalhaes has accepted to move to the North London club after the Gunners agreed on a fee with the French Ligue 1 outfit ahead of the coming season.

Manager Mikel Arteta has been keen on a new central defender with a left foot and identified the Brazilian as a good fit for the role which makes him emphasize it to the club.
It is understood that Napoli made a last-minute push to lure the player with a better weekly wage offer but the decision has already been made with Gabriel Magalhaes reportedly asking questions about the English Premier League.
Gabriel Magalhaes will now become the second major signing in the £22.6 million deal after Willian’s announcement from West London outfit, Chelsea and he is expected to partner William Saliba in the heart of the Mikel Arteta defence.
