English Premier League champions Liverpool are reported to be gaining more advantage over Italian Serie A outfit Napoli for the signature of Lille forward Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window.

Both clubs are leading in the chase of the Nigerian international who is set to part ways with the French Ligue 1 outfit with Napoli leading some weeks ago but the progressed stalled and they are already losing out.

RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato reports that Liverpool CEO Peter Moore is reportedly making frantic efforts to land the 21-year-old for manager Jurgen Klopp this summer and the move seems to be enjoying success.

The 21-year-old Nigerian is valued within the region of £80 million which Napoli and Liverpool are ready to pay.

It would be recalled that Victor Osimhen sacked his former representative, the reason why his deal to Napoli stalled, and that new agent he reported to be more interested in a deal with the English Premier League giants than the Italian outfit.

It is, therefore, expected that a decision would be reached for Victor Osimhen before the end of the summer transfer window for a new start as it is obvious he would be parting ways with the French Ligue 1 club.
