Victor Lindelof

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is expected to miss out on the starting XI ahead of the visit of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Red Devils play hosts to former manager Jose Mourinho and his Spurs team at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and Victor Lindelof could miss out on the game.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering dropping Victor Lindelof for Axel Tuanzebe to partner Harry Maguire at the heart of the Manchester United defence according to the Metro.

Manchester United have conceded a whopping five goals in their last two Premier League matches and Solskjaer is keen to rectify this in time for the Spurs game.

The Red Devils conceded those five goals against two newly-promoted clubs.

Manchester United were forced to a 3-3 draw in their penultimate league game at the home of Sheffield United before they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa in their last league game on Sunday.

Utility defender Axel Tuanzebe impressed Manchester United as a centre back in the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United in October before picking up a hip injury during the warm-up for the Liverpool game at home which ended in a 1-1 draw.
