Arsenal’s interest in Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara has been confirmed by the player’s agent Daniele Piraino, according to Tutto Mercarto Web.
The North London club are keen on a new midfielder and have identified the AS Roma man as a better alternative to their major target, Thomas Partey this summer window.
The Gunners are yet to agree on a fee with Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid over a deal for the Ghanaian international as the release clause of £50 million is still being negotiated.

However, Amadou Diawara is being reported as an alternative and his agent has confirmed the report of the interest from Arsenal but made it clear that the player is focused on his career with AS Roma.
According to the agent, Amadou Diawara is in a top club and he is happy there but he is happy to be linked with clubs like Arsenal.
There is no doubt that he will be heading to the Emirates Stadium if the right offer is tabled to the Italian Serie A outfit as they are also keen to cash in from his sale.
It is expected that a number of new faces are seen at the Emirates Stadium before the end of the summer transfer window.
