Manchester United are reported to have reached out to the agent of Lille forward Victor Osimhen for a possible deal in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has about 38 career goals to his name and has continued to rise to stardom, attracting interest from a number of European sides. He scored 18 goals for the French Ligue 1 outfit in his debut season and has helped them book a Champions League spot already, with a fourth finish.

The Italian Serie A outfit Napoli are reported to have agreed on a £50 million deal for the Nigerian striker but an announcement has continued to tarry with reports that there are complications with the deal which may force it to stall.

Man United are, therefore, making efforts to land the player in a deadline deal in case Napoli fail to resolve the issue before the opening of the summer window. They are reported to have held talks with the Nigerian’s agent, CalcioNapoli24 reports.

The Red Devils boss manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add another striker to his team, knowing that another Nigerian, Odion Oghalo will return to his Chinese club in January. Replacing him with the highly-rated Nigerian will be a good deal for the United boss.
