There is no doubt that Arsenal are one of the clubs that have shown genuine interest in the signature of Lyon midfielder with speculations unending over a possible deal this summer transfer window.

No doubt, the French Ligue 1 outfit are open to a deal for Houssem Aouar but will only sanction it for the right fee after requesting for £54 million before releasing him.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his midfield and Houssem Aouar will be a big deal especially now that it is getting more difficult to land Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.

When asked if he would feel any bad with an unceremonious exit from the French Ligue 1 outfit as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that affected the league.

He was quick to respond by saying “I haven’t left yet. So I haven’t asked this question”. This gives a big hint in what the situation is with a possible deal with Arsenal.

From his response, the North London outfit are still far from completing a deal for Houssem Aouar but with the transfer window yet to close, there is still a possibility if the Gunners can raise funds from the sale of other players to meet the £54 million asking price.
