Manchester United United have received The huge boost in their pursuit of Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly as the player could be up for grab in the summer.
The Senegalese was courted by the Red Devils prior to the start of the campaign but Napoli were reluctant to let go of the player due to his importance to Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the previous season.
However, the player — and the whole team — have been in uninspiring form since the beginning of this season as they currently occupy the 7th position in the Serie A standings.
The Naples have conceded 15 goals in 12 League matches so far, and the club’s hierarchy is beginning to doubt Koulibaly’s quality at the heart of the defense.

In fact, the latest reports emanating from the Serie A outfits via II Mattino claimed that Napoli could be forced to sell the Koulibaly for just £69m in the summer should he fail to improve his overall display before the end of the campaign.
Despite the surprising reduction in the player’s price tag, it is uncertain if the Red Devils are still interested in his services considering the number of center-backs at Solskjaer’s disposal.
Harry Maguire is no doubt one of the integral part of the team, while Victor Lindelof remains untouchable in the manager’s starting lineup.
Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling — when he returns from his loan spell— and Marcus Rojo are still very much available for at Old Trafford.
