The transfer of Arsenal ace Ainsley Maitland-Niles from the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window might be further delayed as a new suitor have emerged.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was listed as one of the players that should leave the club as part of the revamp going on at the Emirates Stadium and he is obviously not lacking in suitors with Wolves leading in the race.

It is understood that talks have reached an advanced stage with Wolves ready to pay £20 million to land the versatile player but there is yet to be a breakthrough as an announcement is yet to be made.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was even made to play the friendly game with the Gunners against MK Dons.

Howbeit, Ainsley Maitland-Niles could be distracted by the latest inters from Newcastle as he could be tempted to make a last-minute decision that will favour him the most.

The Sun reports that Newcastle have joined the race and that makes his move slower than expected but what his decision would be will be known in the coming days.

Reports claim that the manager Mikel Arteta is not okay with the decision of the club to do away with Ainsley Maitland-Niles but he is left with no choice than to support the rebuilding process.
