Becky Lynch made a huge return to WWE at SummerSlam and captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship in quick fashion by defeating Bianca Belair.
WWE fans were disappointed on Tuesday when they realized that Sasha Banks would not be wrestling at SummerSlam.
The Boss was supposed to battle Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in her first match since WrestleMania but she wasn’t there and many of them took it upon themselves to get “#WeWantSasha” trending worldwide as their way of protesting WWE management.
Rumors quickly began to circulate as Becky Lynch beat down Belair in mere seconds. Banks was not cleared by WWE and reports claimed that they knew about her absence well before the show started on Saturday night.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, WWE had plans for The Man but her winning wasn’t part of those plans.
