Manchester United have confirmed their interest in English Premier League loanee Alexander Sorloth after club scouts were in attendance to run the rule over the player.
Alexander Sorloth is on loan at Turkish Super League giants Trabzonspor from Premier League club Crystal Palace.
The 24-year-old has been in very good form for his Turkish club but he’s staying grounded despite the transfer attention that he’s generating from English teams and others outside of the Premier League.
During his latest interview with Turkish football, Alexander Sorloth said that his focus is on performing well for Tranzonspor whom he has scored 24 goals in 35 games in all competitions since joining them at the start of the season.
Alexander Sorloth didn’t have the impact he desired at Crystal Palace and that played a big role in his loan transfer to Turkey last summer. His form in Turkey has been in stark contrast to the one he endured during his time at Selhurst Park.

Manchester United, German Bundesliga title challengers RB Leipzig and Spanish La Liga side Sevilla all had scouts in attendance during the weekend’s league game between Trabzonspor and Caykur Rizespor.
Trabzonspor beat Caykur Rizespor 5-2 at home at the weekend though Alexander Sorloth didn’t get on the scoresheet despite playing for the entire duration of the game.
Premier League teams Brighton and Hove Albion plus Newcastle United also had scouts in attendance.
Manchester United are expected to strengthen the centre forward position this summer and Alexander Sorloth could be the man.
The Red Devils were able to strengthen that position in the January transfer window after the loan signing of Odion Ighalo but it’s not certain that the club will hand him a permanent contract in the summer.
Manchester United signed Odion Ighalo on loan from Chinese Super League giants Shanghai Shenshua till this summer.
