Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira is on the verge of joining Belgian Pro League club Kortrijk.

The Daily Star revealed that the 22-year-old Red Devils shot-stopper will sign for Kortrijk on a short-term loan for the rest of this campaign.

He will join the Belgian top flight side before the end of the transfer window.

The Portuguese junior international had earlier joined Victoria Setubal on loan at the start of the season only for him to return to Old Trafford this month after ending his loan spell with the top flight club in Portugal.

Joel Pereira played 10 games for the Portuguese Super League outfit in all competitions including nine appearances in the league.

The goalkeeper has decided to go on another loan spell with his path to the first team blocked by three shot-stoppers namely Lee Grant, Sergio Romero and David De Gea.

Pereira will sign for Belgian club Kortrijk on loan until this summer.

He’s one of several Manchester United players expected to leave the club before the end of the current winter transfer window.

Marouane Fellaini is closing in on a £10m move to Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng with a financial salary of around £235,000 on a weekly basis.
