Ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been in talks with Manchester United over the manager’s job at the club according to Italian media outlet Alfredo Pedulla.
Mauricio Pochettino has not been in the dugout since he was sacked as Tottenham Hotspur boss in November 2019 and replaced by Jose Mourinho who has managed Manchester United previously.
The ex-Argentine international player was booted out of the job at Spurs just some months after he led them to the Champions League final in Madrid.
According to the aforementioned publication, Mauricio Pochettino requested for full control of transfers at the club as he doesn’t want to suffer the same fate at Old Trafford.

He didn’t have the monopoly on transfers at Spurs as everything had to go through shrewd club chairman Daniel Levy.
Apart from Mauricio Pochettino, ex-Juventus boss Maximiliano Allegri is also interested in Manchester United job.
Manchester United have been inconsistent under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season and the loss of leading goalscorer Marcus Rashford could make things tough for him.
Marcos Rashford has scored 19 goals this season and the next player with most goals is Anthony Martial who has scored 11 goals.
