Bruno Fernandes

The proposed transfer of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United is in serious doubt according to Darren Fletcher.

Fletcher said on BBC Live that the Portuguese international might stay at Sporting Lisbon beyond this month after his club made a new demand for the player to join Manchester United.

According to him, Sporting Lisbon want more money for Bruno Fernandes for the £60m transfer to go through.

Manchester United want to pay a lesser fee of around £50m to £55m for the player who previously played for both Udinese and Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A.

He joined Sporting Lisbon from Sampdoria FC of Italy around two years ago.

Tottenham Hotspur had a £45m bid turned down for Bruno Fernandes last summer which saw him linked with the Red Devils as well.

Manchester United will have to manage the midfield options at their disposal if they are unable to agree a transfer fee for Bruno Fernandes though young Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare is also a serious target for the Old Trafford side.

Chelsea and Manchester United are the only two clubs in the race for Boubakary Soumare after the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Valencia dropped out of the race for him.

Liverpool player keen on transfer stance despite speculation

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been known as a super-sub under manager Jurgen Klopp and that has not changed yet. He is not bothered about his fate at the club and that does not mean he would be leaving.

Reports have claimed that Divock Origi would be seeking a regular playing time and that may force him away from the club as the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino are favoured ahead by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Divock Origi has, therefore, come out clear to insist that he is not leaving the club anytime soon as he would be looking forward to seeing out his deal with the Reds, expressing satisfaction with the substitution role.

Most of the appearances for Divock Origi have been from the bench and we will not forget his role in the previous season that helped Liverpool in lifting their first Champions League and trophy in many years.

However, the Reds’ hierarchy has made it clear that they have no intention to involve in the coming summer transfer market, by either sales or buys as they seek to keep the current team together with the hope that they will be able to beat any competition in the coming season.

Kalidou Koulibaly

There is no doubt that the summer transfer window will be a busy one for most clubs because of the will to compete and win titles next season and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not left out despite the fact that the club is being affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

It is no longer news that Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is top on the wish list of the Red Devils boss and there are no indications he is stepping down on that despite the £100 million fee that has been slammed on the player.

It is reported that Man United manage seeks to buy a striker and a central defender to add to Jadon Sancho when the summer window is reopened.

However, reports add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be forced to offload about six players from the team so as to create space for the incoming and also raise some funds.

The Red Devils were linked with Napoli defender Kalidou koulibaly but the defender has come out open on his wish to remain with the Serie A outfit and not ready for any move anytime soon.

The Red Devils are yet to replace Romelu Lukaku in the attack and Nigerian international Odion Ighalo would be returning to China in January which makes the need for a striker important.

Earlier reports had claimed that English Premier League champions Liverpool could be having their transfer plan hit the rock with claims that Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara will be heading to the Old Trafford to join Man United.

Recall that it was reported that the Reds have already established contact with the player and agreement already reached but waiting for talks with the club to conclude on a deal.

Thiago Alcantara rejected a new offer with the German Bundesliga giants which make him available in the summer window.

This is not the first time Thiago Alcantara would be linked to Man United with the first in 2013 which hit the rock and they could be set for another major disappointment as Liverpool are reported to be going ahead with a deal for the star player.

The latest report now claims that Liverpool will be going ahead with the deal with Thiago Alcantara stating clearly that he is sure a move to the Anfield will happen in this summer window. He is reported to have put up his house in Germany on sale in preparation for a new life.

Surprisingly, the midfield position is not a top priority for Man United and especially after they secured the signature of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.

Arsenal get Man City star as transfer suggestion

North London club, Arsenal have been told that Man City defender John Stones will not be a bad addition o the club especially as they struggle at the defensive department.

This is not the best of time for John Stones who is struggling to get the nod of manager Pep Guardiola as he has only started 11 games this season and one since the restart, making him like an outcast in the team.

It is now seeming clear that his future at Man City is unlikely with a move away as the best option to pick.

Former England international Jamie Redknapp said John Stones’ career could revitalize if he shifts camp from Man City to Arsenal, stressing that he is a player with proven quality and still has enough time to remould at age 26.

Jamie Redknapp stated that the Gunners are in need of a central defender which makes Stones a good fit, and that could be made easy with Mikel Arteta at the club, having both worked together in Man City.

It is now left to the player to seek a move away while the North London outfit will have to wait for a fee to be named on the player so that a move can happen in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool target easy Dejan Lovren replacement

The future of Dejan Lovren is uncertain with the English Premier League champions at Anfield with suggestions that he might be having his last season at the club already.

Liverpool is, therefore, reported to be considering an option for Dejan Lovren with Leandro Cabrera from Spanish La Liga outfit Espanyol.

The fate of the Spanish outfit is already decided and confirmed to be relegated from La Liga leaving the club to the huge possibility of losing most of their players including Leandro Cabrera.

It is reported that amongst other players, Leandro Cabrera will not be relegated with Espanyol to the second division and will seek a move away. Liverpool will take up that advantage to pull a deal through in this summer window.

Luckily for the Reds team, Leandro Cabrera has a clause in his contract with the Spanish club that permits him to sign with any club on loan without additional fee as long as his wages are covered.

This option will be largely considered by the Reds with manager Jurgen Klopp believed to be a fan of the defender as the future of Dejan Levren is unknown.

With Liverpool hierarchy not wanting to make any financial commitment this summer window, Leandro Cabrera could just be the best option for Klopp.

North London outfit Arsenal are set to benefit from the fate of the Spanish La Liga club Espanyol who are going to be relegated from La Liga and set to lose their players.

A number of clubs are already considering players from the Spanish club, including Liverpool who are believed to be seeking the signature of Leandro Cabrera as a replacement for Dejan Lovren.

According to La Razon, the Gunners are seeking the signature of Marc Roca from Espanyol as manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be a big fan of the midfielder.

The Spanish boss is also hoping to land Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey and already looking forward to his partnership with Marc Roca in the middle.

Marc Roca has a release clause of about £40 million and that could be negotiated by the two clubs especially with the player not ready to be relegated with Espanyol.

The 23-year-old enjoyed 33 appearances for Espanyol this season, making him one of the best the club can boast of. He is experienced and can be a better option to Matteo Guendouzi who could his way out of the Emirates Stadium.

Everton have been named as one of the clubs seeking the signature of the Espanyol midfielder but the Gunners are tipped to win the race.

Victor Osimhen

Lille and Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been in the news for reports of a move away from the French Ligue 1 outfit in this summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old was earlier reported to be on the wanted list of English Premier League champions Liverpool with claims that manager Jurgen Klopp will be seeking to work with him but that seems to have faded away as Italian Serie A outfit Napoli are set to win the race.

Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that the Nigerian international youngster has already held talks with the Sporting Director at Naples and agreement has been reached with a deal expected to be made official and announced as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.

However, it is being reported, according to reports in Italy that there are complications in the agreement for the Lille forward, the reason why a deal has not been announced. English Premier League side, Tottenham are set to take advantage of the situation to submit a bid for Victor Osimhen.

This means that Liverpool are out of the race for the former Wolfsburg forward who scored 18 goals for Lille in the 2019/2020 season, helping them to clinch a Champions League spot by finishing fourth on the log.

This means Man United and Man City are both locking horns to snap up the signature of the 23-year-old winger who is available on a release clause of £64 million.

According to reports, the Red Devils have shown more interest in the Real Sociedad player but have valued the player for £45 million.

The Red Devils have shown more interest in England international, Jadon Sancho of German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, having made him their top priority but in case they fail to secure his signature, Mikel Oyarzabel will serve as a good option as a result of his quality.

Borussia Dortmund have slammed an asking price of £100 million on the young England forward and seem not ready to come down on the negotiation table, a fee the Red Devils will not be able to afford if they must secure other deals.

Meanwhile, Man United’s chance of landing Jadon Sancho is highly dependent on their qualification to the Champions League as he will not want to play n a club without European football at that level.
