Arsenal have been advised to sign experienced Bayern Munich defender by a former Premier League player Jamie O’Hara.

He played for rivals Tottenham Hotspur but that has not stopped the former Spurs midfielder from encouraging Arsenal on a move for Jerome Boateng.

Jamie O’Hara discussed Arsenal and transfers while he was on The Debate on Sky Sports.

According to him, the Gunners will benefit from Jerome Boateng in two ways.

The first way is that the German international will provide the solution to that defensive woes before adding that the Ghanaian-born World Cup winner will also be the leader that the North Londoners have missed on several occasions this season.

Jerome Boateng is being targeted by Arsenal as a possible replacement for the crocked Calum Chambers who won’t return to full fitness until next season.

Calum Chambers returned to Arsenal last summer after a successful loan spell at fellow London side Fulham who suffered relegation from the Premier League last term and has been one of the best players at the club especially in the first team until his injury during the first half of the recent league meeting with Chelsea at home.

He will miss the next six to eight months as a result of the injury.
