Manchester United are one of the two sleeping giants of English football alongside Arsenal and that has been evident in the Premier League this season following their respective performances after 18 league games.
Arsenal are in the bottom half of the league table at this time of the season for the first time in almost 40 years as the Gunners are in 11th position with 23 points only from the 18 Premier League games played, while long-term rivals Manchester United are three places better in 8th spot and two points better off with 25 points after 18 league games.

Manchester United have suffered a great deal in the Premier League this season due to a lack of creativity in midfield though it must be pointed out that star player and midfielder Paul Pogba has been restricted to just five starts and one substitute appearance in the league this season due to an ankle problem.
According to the report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, Manchester United can remedy their lack of creativity by making a move for Lokomotiv Moscow playmaker Aleksey Miranchuk in the January transfer market.
Miranchuk impressed a great deal for the Russian Premier League club in the Champions League especially against Juventus whom he scored two goals against over two matches.
He has scored nine goals and also provided four assists in 21 games for Lokomotiv Moscow this season in all competitions.
