Manchester United are prepared to break the bank to sign Leicester City playmaker James Maddison according to the various reports in the British media.
Maddison is a one-cap England international and has become a top target for the Red Devils who are desperate to sign a creative midfielder to boost the output in the attacking third.
Manchester United know that James Maddison won’t be signed on the cheap and that they might have to wait till summer to sign the £100m-rated player as a move is highly unlikely in the current transfer window.

Things can change quickly in football but for now James Maddison is a Leicester City player though Manchester United have resolved to be defiant in the face of their mission and are ready to offer Jesse Lingard in exchange for the player according to the Daily Mirror.
Maddison scored seven goals and seven assists in the league last season in what was his first campaign as a Leicester City player.
He has nine goals and three assists in 21 games for the Foxes this season.
