Liverpool have registered their interest in Tranzonspor and Turkey national team goalkeeper Egurcan Cakir according to the club’s president who made this known while fielding questions from reporters during an interview with Turkish football.
Egurcan Cakir is rated at £13m and the shot-stopper is well aware of the interest from Merseyside.
When asked about the Liverpool transfer rumors, the 23-year-old shot-stopper said that he’s flattered by the interest of a big club like Liverpool who are the reigning European champions.
Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp don’t have an immediate need for a goalkeeper but the target could be a long-term one rather than short-term.

Cakir could be the man to replace Adrian who is in the twilight career.
Spanish shot stopper Adrian is the second choice goalkeeper at Liverpool behind undisputed first choice Alisson Becker and he was in goal as a much changed Reds team secured their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with an impressive win over Everton in the Merseyside Derby.
Curtis Jones scored the only goal of the game in the second half of the encounter to hand the Reds a slim 1-0 win over the Toffees at home.
Adrian joined Liverpool as a free agent this summer after leaving West Ham United last summer.
