Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir has revealed how Liverpool told ‘a lot of lies’ about his failed transfer to the Merseyside club.
Nabil Fekir talked about his failed move to Liverpool in a chat with French news publication L’Equipe.
According to him, he didn’t really know why his proposed transfer to Liverpool was called off.
Nabil Fekir further said that his knee was the excuse made by Liverpool to cancel the transfer.
The French World Cup winner was on the verge of moving to Liverpool last summer before the transfer was canceled at the request of the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool and French Ligue 1 giants Lyon had agreed on a £50m deal for the player before the transfer was called off.
He stayed at Lyon for the whole of last season after the transfer was canceled.
The failed move happened just before Nabil Fekir was part of the French squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
France won their second World Cup title via the 4-2 win over Croatia in the final.
Nabil Fekir left Lyon this summer for Spanish La Liga club Real Betis.
He scored his first goal for Real Betis during the 5-2 defeat at the hands of Barcelona in what was a league game.
