Premier League: Key Man Utd Player Doubtful For Liverpool Clash

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is a big doubt for the upcoming Premier League clash at home to arch-rivals Liverpool.

De Gea is doubtful for the Liverpool game after he sustained a muscle injury during the Euro 2020 qualifier between Spain and Sweden.

The Spanish international shot stopper was replaced by Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after he went off injured during the game which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The result ensured that Spain went through to Euro 2020.

Marcus Berg gave , hosts, Sweden the lead before Rodrigo Moreno struck late into the game to salvage a point for the Spaniards and also send them to the European Championship next summer.

David De Gea has been the first choice goalkeeper at Manchester United since joining the club from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2013 for a fee of around 18.3 million pounds.

He has played all the eight games in the Premier League this term but the ninth game versus Liverpool is in serious doubt for him.

Argentine international Sergio Romero would deputize for David De Gea if he were to miss the Liverpool game.

De Gea and Manchester United have not won a league game since last month.
