Talksport presenter Adrian Durham has made a bold claim about transfer rumours linking Manchester United midfielder Juan Manuel Mata with a move to rivals Arsenal at the end of this season.
Durham is adamant that the Spanish international midfielder will team up with the Gunners next summer.
He made this known while he was talking on the English media platform Talksport.
Adrian Durham disclosed that sources in Spain have confirmed that the 30-year-old will join Arsenal at the end of this season.
Mata is no stranger to new Arsenal boss Unai Emery after he enjoyed three hugely successful years with him at Spanish La Liga giants Valencia.
He played under the Spanish tactician between 2008 and 2011 before he secured a big money move to 2012 Champions League winners Chelsea.
Mata swapped the Blues for Manchester United in January 2014.
The Red Devils reportedly paid £37.1m for his signature.
Mata has been a wonderful servant for the former European champions.
His Manchester United contract expires at the end of this season prompting talks about his future.
Despite the doubts over his long-term future at the club, Juan Mata was instrumental for Manchester United in recent comeback victories over Newcastle United and Italian champions Juventus.
