It was revealed that German capital club Hertha Berlin paid £8.5m for the 22-year-old Argentine player.
The aforementioned transfer could put spanner in the works of an Hertha Berlin move for Xhaka whose agent confirmed recently that the player has agreed a deal with the capital club and that the Arsenal officials are in the know about his decision.
Granit Xhaka has set his sights on leaving Arsenal despite the fact that new manager Mikel Arteta is keen to keep him at the club at least beyond the upcoming January transfer window.
He fell out with the Arsenal fans in October and that has played a part in his decision.
