Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has called on the club to jettison the idea of signing highly-rated Red Bull Salzburg star Erling Haaland when the transfer market reopens in the coming days.
Dimitar Berbatov made this known in his latest interview according to popular media outlet Goal.
The Manchester United legend said that it would be risky to change their current system to accommodate the signing of Erling Haaland who has taken European football by storm this season.

Recent reports claimed that Manchester United are closing in on the signing of the striker in a deal that could be as much as £76m (€80m).
Manchester United are not the only club interested in the services of Erling Haaland who is a Norwegian international.
The German Bundesliga trio of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Borussia Moenchengladbach have all been touted as possible transfer destinations for the player.
Italian Serie A giants Juventus are also interested in signing the 19-year-old striker who has a very good record in front of goal this season.
He has hit the back of the net 28 times this season in just 22 games in the colours of Red Bull Salzburg with eight goals coming in the Champions League alone.
