Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has aimed a slight dig at arch rivals Liverpool after his team secured passage into the Carabao Cup semifinals.
Solskjaer subbed Liverpool during his post-match press conference on Wednesday night shortly after his team thrashed League Two opponents Colchester United 3-0 at home in their quarterfinal clash.
According to him, Premier League champions and Carabao Cup holders Manchester City are still the best team in England ahead of Liverpool and others.
Liverpool have been the best team in the Premier League this season after winning 16 matches and drawing the other game from 17 matches played in the league this season thereby opening up a two-pount gap over nearest challengers Leicester City.

Manchester City are four points further back in third position.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that Manchester City are still the best team in England in response to the semifinal draw which has pitted the two Manchester clubs together.
The two-legged semifinal tie will take place next month.
In the other semifinal in this season’s Carabao Cup, Leicester City will face Aston Villa.
Manchester City have won the competition in each of the last two seasons and they are trying to make it a hattrick of wins this season.
