Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the top 20 best footballer in the world after the Ballon d’Or Award Rankings was revealed on Monday.

Gabonese international Aubameyang had earlier been named as part of the 30 nominees for the 2019 Ballon d’Or Award.

He was ranked 20th amongst the Ballon d’Or nominees alongside Ajax Amsterdam and Serbian international playmaker Dusan Tadic.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been a shinning light for an Arsenal side struggling to get back to the top of both English football and European football.

The newly appointed Arsenal skipper was the joint topscorer in the Premier League last season with 22 goals alongside the Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

In total, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored 31 goals in all competitions for the Gunners with eight of those goals coming in the Europa League where Arsenal reached the final before being beaten 4-1 by London rivals Chelsea.

Aubameyang has been able to maintain his goalscoring form this season with ten goals already in the Premier League.

Only Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has scored more than Aubameyang in the Premier League this sesson.

In total, the former Borussia Dortmund and Saint Etienne player has 12 goals this season.

The 2019 Ballon d’Or Award was won by Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

He now has a record six Ballon d’Or titles with his first one coming some 10 years ago.
