Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United tried and failed to sign Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez in the summer.
This is according to respected journalist Fernando Burgos who revealed that Manchester United could have signed Spanish international Lucas Vazquez after they saw off Arsenal in the race to sign the player.
Fernando Burgos talked about Lucas Vazquez and Manchester United while he was on the programme titled El Transistor on Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
Lucas Vazquez didn’t sign for Manchester United in the summer because the Spaniard didn’t want to leave his boyhood club Real Madrid.

Without quality players like Lucas Vazquez, Manchester United struggled to secure the required results this season especially in the Premier League though it must be pointed out that they have picked up in recent games.
Manchester United have won five of their last six games in all competitions including two of the last three Premier League games.
Two of the last three league games have ended on a winning note for Manchester United including the 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford at the weekend.
After 12 games in the Premier League, Manchester United are in seventh position with 16 points to show for their troubles.
