Man Utd Set Sights On 32-goal Striker As Lukaku’s Replacement

Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on Serie A star Krzysztof Piatek as part of their search for perfect Romelu Lukaku’s replacement in the winter.
The Red Devils released the Belgian star in the summer after receiving huge amount from Inter Milan but failed to sign a replacement before the end of the transfer window.
Solskjaer’s team now struggle to score goals and the manager is reportedly desperate to add a consistent goalscorer to his attacking frontline in the summer.
According Italy-based media outlet Calciomercato, the 24-year-old striker is seen as the best player to step into the vacuum created by Lukaku’s departure and Solskjaer is more than willing to move for his services in January.

The same source revealed that the Poland international, who scored 32 goals in all competition during the previous season, will cost nothing less than £35m by AC Milan’s price tag but it remains unknown if the young man will love to join the Red Devils due to the competition for spots in Solskjaer’s starting XI.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are still interested in Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic despite their inability to sign him from Juventus in the summer.
The highly experienced striker seems to have lost his importance in Maurizio Sarri’s team since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and the return of Gonzalo Higuain from his Chelsea loan spell. Hence, he’s said to be thinking of ending his stay at Turin in January.
