Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will replace Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane on one condition according to the latest reports coming out of the media in Spain.

The specific report from Sportsmole said that Jose Mourinho will only replace Zidane as the Real Madrid manager if the French football legend fails to beat arch rivals Barcelona in the El Clasico on October 26.

Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the first El Clasico meeting of the season at the Nou Camp and Zinedine Zidane could lose his job as the Los Merengues manager if he fails to beat the reigning Spanish champions.

Zinedine Zidane is in his second spell as a manager at Real Madrid and the Frenchman is under some sort of pressure despite the fact that he has guided the team to the top of the Spanish La Liga table.

Real Madrid have made a terrible start to their quest to regain the Champions League title in stark contrast to their form in the league.

The 13-time European champions were beaten 3-0 by French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in their Champions League opener away from home before they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Club Brugge FC of Belgium in their second game on Tuesday.
