Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a surprise reaction to his side’s disappointing result in their away Europa League clash against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

In his post-match reaction to the draw, Solskjaer said that the point earned was a good one against a difficult team and on a difficult surface.

Manchester United have had an indifferent start to the season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the drab draw against Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar didn’t do much to improve the mood around the club.

Red Devils boss Solskjaer made several changes for the AZ Alkmaar game in addition to the fact that star players like Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Anthony missed the Europa League match due to various injuries.

The Norwegian tactician made as much as eight changes for the game and it played a part in the result which was a goalless draw.

Solskjaer complained after the game that his side should have had a second half penalty after substitute Marcus Rashford was brought down by Stijn Wynters as pointed out by replays.

Manchester United lost top spot in Group L to Serbian side Partizan Belgrade as a result of the defeat.

Partizan Belgrade beat Astana FC of Kazakhstan 2-1 away from home in the other group game.
