Manchester United and Arsenal are set to rekindle their off-the-pitch rivalry as they battle for Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai.

Arsenal were linked with a move for the 18-year-old attacker during the summer transfer window but their £9m bid was rejected by RB Salzburg who demanded for £15m.

According to Football Insider, United are set to join in the race for the youngster as Solskjaer seeks for quality strikers who can score goals at ease.

Szoboszlai, who has featured in five matches for the Hungarian national team, is rated among the best teenagers in Europe, and United are set to monitor his progress with the aim of launching a bid for him in January.

Manchester City and Chelsea are equally said to be trailing the player’s development after his goalscoring performance against Genk in their Champions League opener fortnight ago.

The media outlet went on to suggest that the four Premier League giants will send their representatives to Anfield Stadium to run the rule over the youngster during their Champions League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday.

Juventus, Lazio and Inter Milan are also tipped to be interested in the youngster, making him one of the most sought-after teenagers in the world.

He has featured in 10 games for RB Salzburg this season, and he has registered three goals and three assists.
