Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi has revealed that he still has a future at Premier League leaders Liverpool despite spending the majority of his career out on loan.
Taiwo Awoniyi is on the payroll of the Merseyside giants but he is yet to make an appearance for them.
He has been sent on loan to several clubs in the past years.
Taiwo Awoniyi has gone on loan to clubs like FSV Frankfurt of Germany, NEC Nijmegen (Holland), Royal Excel Mouscron and Gent (both in Belgium).
He was sent out on loan to German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 before the end of the European transfer window earlier this month.
Taiwo Awoniyi spoke about his Liverpool career in a chat with Sporting Life, a newspaper in his native Nigeria.
According to him, the numerous loan spells from Liverpool to other clubs have been because of the lack of work permit.
He went on to say that his future lies with Liverpool.
Taiwo Awoniyi also said that he would have been a part of the Liverpool preseason tour to the United States (US) if not for injury.
Without the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles striker in the Liverpool squad, the Reds have made an excellent start to the new Premier League season after winning all their five games.
