Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has signed a new contract at the club ahead of the Premier League meeting with Watford.

The Gunners received big news ahead of the Watford game at the Vicarage Road on Sunday with the new contract for Joe Willock.

The news of his contract was confirmed by Arsenal earlier on Thursday.

The 20-year-old has signed a long-term deal at Arsenal thereby committing his future to the North London club.

Joe Willock came through the ranks at Arsenal before making his debut in the Carabao Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers in September 2017.

The young midfielder broke into the starting XI at Arsenal this season after an impressive preseason.

Joe Willock started all the first three games for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.

He featured for the Gunners during the opening game of the season, a 1-0 win over hosts Newcastle United with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang getting the only goal of the game.

Joe Willock also started the first home game of the season which ended in a 2-1 win over Burnley.

He was also in the starting XI for the first defeat of the season, a 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.

Joe Willock was an unused substitute in the fourth and last league game of the season, a 2-2 draw at home to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur shortly before the international break.
