The Real Reason Samuel Umtiti Debunks Arsenal Transfer Rumours
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has debunked transfer rumours linking him with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal.
The French World Cup winner was linked with a move to Arsenal for the majority of the summer and journalist Miguel Delaney of the Independent even said that the player was considering an exit from Barcelona after losing his place in the starting XI.
Samuel Umtiti has now responded to those transfer links in the summer in an interview with Canal Football Club.
According to him, he didn’t consider the option of leaving Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona in the summer.

Samuel Umtiti went on to say that his childhood dream was to play for Barcelona and that he’s not ready to give that up.
The French centre back became a Barcelona player in the summer of 2016 after joining from French Ligue 1 giants Lyon and he went on to establish himself in the first team at the Nou Camp.
Umtiti was the centre back partner for Barcelona legend Gerard Pique in his first two seasons at the club.
He didn’t enjoy the best of times in the last campaign after missing four months as a result of a serious knee injury thus paving the way for Christian Lenglet to take his place in the Barcelona XI.
