Nigeria U23 international and Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is reportedly set to complete his move to Spanish side SD Huesca, according to report emanating from a trustworthy source.

According to Allnigeriasoccer, the player is close to joining the Spanish second division club as the negotiation with the Gunners is as good as concluded.

Speaking to the Nigerian website, the midfielder’s agent Allwell — who is equally the player’s elder brother — said that Arsenal and Huesca have reached an agreement over his client’s future and the player is expected to make a deadline day switch to Spain.

”Kelechi is joining a new club, SD Huesca in Spain. We are terminating his contract with Arsenal,” Allwell Nwakali told allnigeriasoccer.

”We are preparing his visa to go to Spain but everything is okay. He has agreed to move there. SD Huesca just went on relegation and they are doing everything possible to return to La Liga.”

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Gunners in 2016 following his fine display for the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria during U17 World Cup in 2015.

Unfortunately, the youngster couldn’t make his debut for the Gunners’ first-team due to work permit issues. Instead, he has been from one loan deal to another throughout his three years relationship with the Emirates Stadium outfit.

He has featured for VVV-Venlo, MVV Maastricht(twice) and FC Porto B in time past but he didn’t really live up to his potentials.
