Federico Varandas Agrees £53m Deal To Sell Bruno Fernandes

Sporting Lisbon president Federico Varandas has agreed to sell star player Bruno Fernandes to Premier League giants Manchester United according to the latest reports coming out of the media in Portugal.

Bruno Fernandes has been a transfer target for Manchester United for the majority of this summer.

According to the specific publication from JN, the Sporting Lisbon supremo is ready to sell his prized asset for £53m which is a far cry from the £88m release clause in Bruno Fernandes’ contract.

Manchester United want to sign at least a midfielder this summer and Bruno Fernandes is one of the top midfield targets for the Red Devils on the back of his sensational form for Sporting Lisbon in the last campaign.

Bruno Fernandes scored 32 goals for Sporting Lisbon in all competitions last season in addition to 18 assists.

The 24-year-old made 50 goal contributions for Sporting Lisbon in his 53 games last season.

The Portuguese international also scored 20 goals and also provided 13 assists in 33 games in the league alone last season.

Bruno Fernandes was a major player for Sporting Lisbon as they won the Portuguese Cup.

The midfielder also helped Portugal win the inaugural UEFA Nations League finals via a 1-0 win over the Netherlands last month.
