Wenger Revealed What Would Have Happened If Neymar Left PSG

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) were handed a huge transfer boost after they managed to keep star player Neymar at the club for this season at least.

Neymar was the subject of transfer rumours about a possible return to Spain with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona keen to sign him.

PSG were able to hold on to his services despite the interest of the two Spanish clubs.

Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spoke to BeIN Sports about the effects of that outcome.

According to him, Neymar’s exit from PSG would have led to the exodus of players.

Neymar is expected to stay at PSG for this season at least after Barcelona and Real Madrid failed to meet the financial request from PSG for his signature.

His preference was to return to Barcelona before the close of the European transfer window on Monday but he was not granted his wish.

Barcelona made just one offer for him according to PSG sporting director Leonardo.

The said offer came on August 27 and it was rejected by the French champions.

Neymar has not played for PSG this season as he’s still recovering from the ankle injury sustained during the summer.
