EPL: Liverpool And Man City Lead Table, Arsenal Out Of Top Four

Liverpool and Manchester City continue to set the pace for others to follow after week four of the new Premier League season.

The two teams won convincingly at the weekend to open up a lead over the rest of the teams in the league.

League leaders Liverpool thrashed hosts Burnley 3-0 to overtake defending champions Manchester City on Saturday night.

Chris Woods (own goal), Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were the goalscorers for Liverpool who have a perfect record in the Premier League this season after winning the first four games (12pts).

Manchester City had earlier gone to the Premier League summit with the 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at home.

The victory took Manchester City to 10pts (three wins and one draw) as a result of the win achieved courtesy goals from Sergio Aguero (2), Kevin De Bruyne and second-half substitute Bernardo Silva.

Liverpool (12pts), Manchester City (10pts) are in 1st and 2nd spot respectively on the Premier League table ahead of Leicester City (8pts) and Crystal Palace (7pts) in 3rd and 4th spot respectively.

Arsenal dropped from 3rd spot to 5th spot after they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur in their North London Derby clash on Sunday evening.
