Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane believes that his team deserved better at the end of their league clash with Real Valladolid at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu on Saturday night.

Zidane and Real Madrid could only play out a 1-1 draw at home to the lowly outfit.

In his post-match presser, Zidane called on the fans to be patient with him and his players.

The Real Valladolid game was their second of the season in the Spanish La Liga.

Real Madrid had opened their account this season with the 3-1 away victory over Celta Vigo and they were overwhelming favourites to pick up the three points at stake against Real Valladolid.

The Los Merengues struggled to break down their opponents until the 82nd minute when they took the lead through French striker Karim Benzema.

The visitors equalized through Sergi Guardiola who earned a point for his team with his second league goal of the season.

Zinedine Zidane also talked about the league title as he confirmed that the pressure is on his team to deliver.

He was the last Real Madrid manager to win the league title for the Los Merengues.

Real Madrid last won the Spanish La Liga title during the 2016/17 season.
